Position: Lower Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Salary: Competative/Negotiable
Contract Type: 1 day a week (Long-Term - Permanent)
Start Date: ASAP/September

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lower Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our dynamic team.

Job Purpose:

As a Lower Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in Year 3 and Year 4. You will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Your role is to inspire and motivate students, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum for Lower Key Stage 2.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide initiatives and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour.
  • Foster a love of learning and encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and orderly classroom.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE).
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies for Lower Key Stage 2.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn new skills.
