A globally-renowned scientific foundation is in need of a Financial Accountant to join its Financial Accounting & Controls team and provide cover during a systems upgrade for certain areas of Financial Accounting and Accounts Payable. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract role in a world-leading organisation and contribute to the success of a high-performing and friendly finance team.
As the Financial Accountant your role will involve:
- Performing a range of month-end duties including reconciliations and posting journals
- Investigating and acting upon dormant accounts
- Overseeing the payment approval process (for both UK and overseas payments)
- Reviewing invoices to ensure they are correct and include VAT registration numbers
- Various ad hoc financial accounting duties
The ideal interim Financial Accountant will:
- Hold a formal accounting qualification (essential)
- Have previous experience overseeing payments and performing financial accounting duties within the charity sector
- Be immediately available and willing to work from the central-London offices three days per week
