HR Advisor
- Job Type: Temporary sickness cover for 4-6 weeks, possibly longer
- Salary: £15-17 per hour
- Location: Outskirts of Norwich
- Start Date: ideally asap
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our well-established engineering company on a short-term contract. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and advice on employee relations, ensuring alignment with our company values, policies, and legal requirements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Advise and Support: Offer guidance to managers on employee relations, aligning with company values and legal requirements, including advice from external service providers.
- Case Management: Manage ER cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, performance, and wellbeing, ensuring compliance and timely documentation.
- Communication and Engagement: Enhance communication and relationships within the business and with external providers to support employee engagement.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Generate reports on ER activities, using data to identify trends and improve processes.
- Team Work: Work collaboratively with the People Advice team and stakeholders to maintain a supportive and respectful culture.
- HR Systems/Databases: Assist with the People Management system, ensuring HR data is managed effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor, including ER experience
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organisation.
- Proficient in HRIS and word processing, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to support teams during peak periods.
