Description

  • Developing, implementing and managing an effective legal compliance program for the UK and European offices.
  • Advising management on the company's compliance with SRA laws and regulations.
  • Allocating work within the team to ensure that all new client and matter requests, conflict checks and queries are managed at a high standard.
  • Providing training to the team and offices on key regulatory topics.
  • Creating and implementing project plans.
  • Responding to more complex regulatory enquiries and investigations.
  • Maintaining up to date policies and procedures.
  • Conducting internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Regularly assessing the efficiency of control systems and recommending effective improvements.
  • Providing training and guidance to company employees on compliance matters.
  • Managing and maintaining records of compliance activities.

Profile

A successful Compliance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a compliance manager role within a law firm.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and controls such as AML and Conflicts.
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Integrity and professional ethics.
  • Teamwork skills and attention to detail.
