Graduate Electrical Design Engineer
Due to continued expansion, our award-winning client based in Peterborough currently has an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer. As a Graduate Electrical Designer, you will provide electrical service support to all departments in the UK and abroad, primarily focusing on electrical design, programming, and testing of their machines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support all departments in the organisation with electrical requests
- Collaborate with all departments on customer projects
- Assist in managing customer projects from an electrical perspective
- Support with designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical drawings using computer-assisted engineering software, estimating material, labour costs, and project timescales
- Coordinate the ordering, panel build, and installation
- Design and conduct tests
- Create technical files
- Ensure projects (electrical design) meet electrical safety regulations
- Conduct feasibility studies for new technical innovations.
Person Specification:
- Degree educated in a relevant engineering field
- Some experience with electrical design, through internships, projects, or coursework
- Knowledge of electrical design software and tools is advantageous
- Basic understanding of electrical safety regulations preferred
Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits:
- Salary up to £35,000
- The role is full-time based on a 37-hour week
- Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:45
- Company pension scheme after 1 years' service
- In addition to the usual public holidays, currently 8 per annum, there is an annual leave allowance of 21 days
