Our client is a leading London Borough Council and is searching for a recruit to join Adult Social Services sector. With a strong commitment to providing quality care and support to vulnerable adults, they are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of their service users.

Responsibilities:

As a Telecare Officer, you will play a crucial role in our client's Telecare Service. You will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to the provision of an efficient, effective, and comprehensive Telecare service
  • Be the first point of contact for calls requiring action or a visit by the Telecare Officers, out of hours staff, or agencies
  • Assess situations and take appropriate action based on the needs and wishes of the service users
  • Assess, install, programme, and instruct service users on the usage and testing of Telecare equipment
  • Support the implementation, facilitation, and provision of the Telecare service
  • Liaise with staff and agencies involved in the delivery of the Telecare service
  • Provide a flexible service according to an agreed rota pattern
  • Enable, support, and empower vulnerable adults and the elderly to maintain independence with Telecare equipment
  • Make referrals to other services to ensure the health and safety of service users
  • Interrogate computer systems and liaise with colleagues and external organisations to resolve enquiries and provide appropriate information
  • Inform the appropriate manager immediately of any serious problems or incidents
  • Provide technical advice on Telecare equipment to internal and external
