Job Title: Neighbourhood Officer

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Estate Walkabouts: Conduct regular estate walkabouts to assess the condition of the housing estate. Identify any issues, maintenance needs, or improvements required.
- Communal Inspections: Inspect communal areas (such as common rooms, hallways, and shared facilities) to ensure they are well-maintained and meet standards.
- Untidy Gardens: Identify and address untidy gardens within the estate. Provide guidance to tenants on maintaining their outdoor spaces.
- General Estate Management Support: Assist the team with other estate management duties as needed. This may include administrative tasks, coordination, and collaboration with colleagues.
- Confidentiality and Data Protection: Handle sensitive information with strict adherence to confidentiality, data protection, and freedom of information guidelines.
- Meetings and Briefings: Attend internal and external meetings, team briefings, and staff conferences as required.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 / BTEC National Certificate or equivalent, or relevant experience/transferable skills.
- Effective communication with residents and colleagues.
- Customer-focused and responsive service delivery.
- Experience in social housing, estate management, tenancy management, or community safety-related work.
- Ability to use initiative and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office and bespoke IT systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet service needs.
