About the role:
Engage Education are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sports Coach to join an SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health) School based in the Borough of Hackney to start on a full-time basis for September 2024. The role is to assist and cover the teacher in PE classes working with Secondary age year groups.
The school caters for individuals that have social and emotional mental health and challenging behaviours. We are looking for a vibrant individual who can play a significant role in supporting students on their educational journey, encouraging them to develop their social, emotional and life skills. They are also looking for a strong character who can take responsibility and take initiative to overcome challenging situations and build a rapport with students who have a range of additional needs.
The school aims to give their pupils the best education possible. The SEMH School is mostly male dominated with all students diagnosed with ASD and/or ADHD so behaviour management and a proactive, resilient attitude is essential.
