Assistant Service Manager - Supported Living - Progression Opportunities within 12 months

If you're an experienced Team Leader / Team Manager / Assistant Care Manager within social care, and you're looking for the opportunity to progress and develop your career, this Assistant Service Manager role could be the perfect post for you!

Initially managing a couple of small, supported living services for adults with learning disabilities and autism, you'll be responsible for the delivery of quality focused care and support, motivating and leading the staff team and ensuring that clients are supported to pursue their own goals.

The Assistant Service Manager role

The Assistant Service Manager has responsibility for managing a small number of supported living services, ensuring that care is delivered to the highest standards and clients are supported to pursue quality of life goals through Active Support and Positive Behaviour Support.

  • Rotas and staffing - ensuring an appropriate skill mix of staff
  • Staff leadership and management
  • Conducting Audits, spot checks, service visit and gaining feedback from people supported
  • Promoting and leading on Active Support and implementing positive behaviour support into your services.
  • Safeguarding promotion, training, investigation and problem solving.
  • Collaborating with the Positive Behaviour Support Analyst team
  • Supporting with all person-centred review processes

You would be supported to develop your competencies in these tasks, with a view to becoming a Service Manager within a year and taking on a lager footprint of services, at which point the salary would increase to £30,000 - £33,000.

We're looking for somebody with

  • Experience in a role such as: Team Manager / Team Leader / Assistant Manager / Care Manager
  • A passion for working with people with learning disabilities or autism.
  • Experience within a CQC regulated service, such as supported living, residential care or domiciliary care
  • The ability to take part in an on-call system ( one in 7 weekends)
  • A drivers licence and own vehicle
