Massage and Skin Care Therapist - Self Employed

We are looking for a Massage & Skin Care Therapist to work at our 5 times award winning massage clinic in Rochester, Kent. We pride ourselves on creating a happy relaxed place to work with maximum job security and the esteem of working in a No1 Spa in the UK. Someone happy who has a genuine passion for massage & recovery. Our client base is also first class, would take no time to build up a strong customer base of regular clients.

Our clinic bookings are mainly for massage with skincare demand growing steadily. We are well known for delivering outstanding, high quality, 10/10 massage treatments. Most of our clients come to see us for a mixture of things, these range from muscle pain relief massages to a chilled, relaxing and de-stressing massage. So being able to adapt to different client needs is essential. We have over 3000 5* reviews on our booking page, Google and social media and we have clients coming from as far as London just to see us.

Ideally someone flexible enough to work 3-4 days a week with at least 1 weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) this type of rota can also be discussed where you can have one weekend off one weekend on and you could have 3-4 days off next to each other for example, whichever suits you more. Completing around 5 to 7 treatments a day

We need someone who:
- Can deliver outstanding massages to our clients, high massage skill is a must.
- Is at least NVQ Level 3 qualified in massage and is able to cover a range of different massage treatments. These include but not limited to deep tissue massage, Swedish, hot stone, pregnancy, aromatherapy, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, cellulite treatments, head & foot massages. Anyone that can deliver deep tissue massage to a high standard will be preferred over everything else.
- Qualified and able to perform facials and microdermabrasion (This preferred but not essential)
- Has a positive kind attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to work at least one weekend day and evenings as this is essential for this type of work
- Has proven record of minimal sick days
- At least 2 years experience working in a salon/spa/clinic environment
- Fluent in English and written English
- Happy to be a team player and helping with the opening/closing duties and laundry duties in the shop
- Being happy to share knowledge and best practice to others
- Has a genuine passion for massage & recovery
- Able to provide x2 references from a similar job to this one

MAIN DUTIES
- Greeting your clients by name on arrival with a positive attitude and warm welcome. Offering bottled water if they haven't been already.
- Discussing the clients consultation forms with them. Making sure that we have all information regarding health status and personal information and making any notes needed.
- Explaining the length of treatment, what's involved, listening and understanding what they want from the treatment and how you will tailor it to their needs.
- Ensuring a professional, caring service that will show off your talent and skills and get the clients rebooking with you again.
- Come up with a treatment plan and discuss next steps/aftercare advice with every client
- Keeping a record of information for every treatment you've done.
- Replace bed sheets, set up for next treatment and help with laundry in-between appointments to keep the shop running as smoothly as possible.
