We are looking for a dedicated Community Care Worker to join our team, providing high-quality care and support to service users within their own homes and the community. The role involves assisting with personal care, health and wellbeing, and promoting independence and choice according to the individual's capabilities and care plan.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Encourage and support service users in personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and eating.
  • Assist with the management of medical conditions and medication administration, as trained.
  • Support service users with domestic tasks like cleaning, laundry, and shopping as specified within the care support plan.
  • Provide social care by maintaining links with family and friends, assisting with social activities, and supporting with reading and writing.
  • Assist with health care needs under professional supervision, including catheter care, stoma care, and simple dressings.
  • Promote service user participation and encourage feedback to continually develop and improve services.
  • Maintain professional conduct and adhere to operational policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within the care profession, delivering person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good numeracy and reporting skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and a commitment to professional development.
  • Willingness to complete QCF qualifications in Care/Health if not currently held.

Desirable attributes:

  • QCF 2,3,4 in Care/Health qualification or equivalent.
  • Basic computer literacy for completing timesheets, reports, and emails.
  • Car driver with access to a vehicle and appropriate business insurance.
  • Client-specific training or experience in areas such as Autism, learning disabilities, dementia, etc.
