HSE Advisor or Manager / COMAH Specialist

Are you a HSE professional with experience in either chemical / process engineering or industrial manufacturing?

You have the chance to join a global brand specialising in a range of chemicals providing their products to a full range of sectors and industries.

You will be sole COMAH expert on this site supported by a HSE team

  • Champion, administer and review, in conjunction with other departmental managers, the COMAH regulations in order to maintain the Company's Upper Tier status.
  • To be a key stakeholder of the associated COMAH disciplines, ATEX, MATTE, DSEAR, SIL, HAZOP,PHR,LOPA, SIL, Human Factors and MAH
  • Bea member of the Site Incident Controller Emergency Team
  • Coordinate the Company's Integrated Management Systems with regard to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager to comply with relevant statutory obligations and internationally recognised standards.
  • Manage and monitor all environmental aspects of site in accordance to COMAH , EPR and ISO 14001
  • Key stakeholder in incident, accident and near miss investigations
  • Manage waste disposal / recycling activities on site.
  • Be the nominated Company DGSA advisor

Requirements

  • Degree level qualification in chemistry or closely related scientific discipline is preferable, not essential
  • Health & Safety Qualification Desirable NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma
  • 5-10 Years' experience of active engagement with COMAH at Upper Tier Site & Environmental Permitting Regulations
  • A working knowledge and experience of quality management systems, standards, procedures and internal auditing.
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
