We are delighted to be working with an exciting, growing business based in Coventry. They are now on the lookout for a commercially focused, experienced Management Accountant to join their in house team. As a Management Accountant, you will be pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts, meeting group requirements, and supporting the Financial Controller in delivering vital insights to the wider team. Your financial expertise will help monitor business targets, interpret results, and identify both challenges and opportunities to enhance operating profit.

This role comes with an annual salary of up to £45,000 plus a range of other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Ensure financial reporting processes are accurate and meet standards.
  • Provide key insights to monitor financial targets and business performance.
  • Manage financial relationships, including raising and reconciling invoices, and tracking costs.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and budget analysis to drive cost reduction opportunities.
  • Partner with department heads to review and prepare quarterly forecasts.
  • Support audits, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
  • Drive business improvement through tracking capital expenditure and returns on investment.
  • Contribute to the company's financial strategy with insightful analysis and reporting.

Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum two years' experience preparing management accounts with exposure to business partnering.
  • The ideal candidate will be a finalist or nearing completion of CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
  • Self-starter who takes a hands-on approach.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong people management and change management abilities.
  • Confident in challenging the status quo and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
