Container Control Clerk

We're looking for a Container Control Clerk for our brand new London Gateway depot.
The successful candidate will ensure all aspects of container movements, stock control, repairs and other depot activity are recorded promptly and accurately.? To maintain regular contact between the depot and our Ipswich office, customers and other internal and external suppliers. To prepare reports as required by MSC Geneva, Medlog Antwerp and internally within MSC UK.? To provide cover for other members of the team in line with nominated tasks.?

Skills and experience you'll bring to us
- Proven ability to manage and forward plan within a fast paced, demanding and constantly evolving environment
- Ability to address and resolve day to day business issues with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Be able to demonstrate a professional manner at all times
- Ability to be flexible and meet strict deadlines
- Must remain focused on prioritisation of day to day emails and tasks
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Continued positive attitude to new business challenges
- Excellent team player
How you will help us and what you can expect
- Comply with all company health and safety policies
- Control of access and exit gates liaising with HGV drivers booking in and out of the depot
- Record all equipment received and dispatched
- Control of all container stocks and stock levels within the depot to meet the demands of the business
- Input of container repair estimates, monitoring authorizations and updating repair records
- Checking and processing of incoming/outgoing invoices
- Monthly accounts check ensuring all data is processed and submitted accurately
- Issue and reconcile depot equipment release via internal / external systems
- Accurate & timely preparation of daily/weekly reports for MSC Geneva and UK Management
