An Awesome role as an Infrastructure & EUC Technical Specialist has become available to join our clients Business Change & Technology team on a 6 month, fixed term contract. You will provide development of, management and support for all Infrastructure and End User Computing services, both business as usual and project activity, and will act as the glue between hosting, network and application services. Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager, the responsibilities of the Infrastructure EUC Technical Specialist is varied, rewarding and includes:

  • Providing 3rd line escalated support of the internal corporate infrastructure as well as nearly 2000 external locations
  • Enterprise Management - Provide software management for the following Enterprise applications: SCCM, Intune, Meraki, Apple Business Manager, Office 365, MS Defender
  • New Builds - Design, produce and maintain set builds for given projects, corporate and retail functions.
  • Managed Desktop - Ensure up to date versioning of software applications
  • Active Directory Group Policy - Determine group policy changes needed for applications, builds or other situations which arise and require amendment or new group policy
  • Deployment - ensure device rollout is optimised using modern deployment methods such as Autopilot, pre-provisioning and Intune onboarding
  • Package applications for and make them available for distribution within Intune for user deployment or via the Intranet
  • Supporting the maintenance and management of the end devices to ensure they are compliant and standard best practice in regards to IT security.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors to help resolve and troubleshoot issues across the IT estate.
  • Support Tools - Writing applications for support functions on the helpdesk or tools to aid end user computing.
  • Review existing practices to see how we can develop and improve efficiency with the use of tools such as PowerShell.
  • Demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Produce high and low level documentation for builds and applications. Create, maintain and release all engineer documentation
  • Technical Consultancy - Provide consultancy to Projects and 3rd parties for a variety of IT related activities
  • Evaluation - Supporting the architecture team on driving new technology into the business, research and development of IT systems.
