SALARY UP TO £45K DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Our client is a leading waste management company operating across London and the Home Counties providing comprehensive waste management and recycling services to both trade and domestic customers.

They are now seeking a Transport Coordinator to join their team based at Head Office in Watford, Hertfordshire, free parking is available. Their team works hard to maintain the core values of the business and full training and development opportunities will be offered by the company along with health and wellbeing support.

The Job Role

  • This is an office-based role.
  • Dealing with incoming calls and emails from customers placing orders for muck away/materials/grab services and skip hire.
  • Reporting to the Transport Manager.
  • Accurately complete customer bookings, to the Weighsoft sales system, diligence is key.
  • Coordinate scheduled work across the fleet.
  • Ensuring customers receive the highest level of service whilst ensuring optimum fleet utilisation in the most cost-efficient manner whilst maximising sales.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships ensuring excellence in customer service.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs with the workshop to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Ensuring all drivers are adhering to current rules and regulations in relation to road transport compliance and health & safety.
  • Monitor driver performance, utilising IT systems and communicate to the Transport Manager.
  • Other admin duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work cooperatively and positively within the team at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Hardworking with the push to get the job done.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills.
  • Self-assured communicator both written and verbal
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Forward thinking with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • A knowledge of transport regulations and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • Motivated to learn for self-development and progression.

Hours 6.30 - 17.00 Monday - Friday, Saturday's on a Rota 7 - 12.30
