Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Ton Driver to join our team, working on behalf of a prominent logistics company based in Hounslow. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations across London and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 7.5-ton vehicle in compliance with all road safety regulations.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are properly secured during transit.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and minimize delays.
- Communicate with the logistics team regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Handle goods with care, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition.
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving license with Category C1 entitlement.
- Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience as a 7.5-ton driver or similar role.
- Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A clean driving record with no major endorsements.
