Network Engineer
Hybrid working 3 days onsite per week in Exeter
Our client based is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month basis to help support the clients communication networks, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, wireless, and telephony networks.
Key Skills:
- Good understanding of LAN/WIFI technologies
- Good knowledge on Network basics OSI Layers/TCP and UDP protocols/VLAN/Routing/IP subnetting/spanning tree, Etc.
- DNS/ DHCP/ IPAM (Infoblox)
- Experience in firewall administration, configuration, and troubleshooting (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo alto etc.).
- Good knowledge and hands on experience of VPN's (Remote access and Site-to-Site)
- Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP
- Traffic shaping, QoS, CoS
- Application content delivery systems and Load balancing experience
- Cloud networking including Azure, AWS, etc
- Understanding and experience of network automation technologies.
- Ideally experience working on Juniper and Aruba technologies.
- Understanding of VXLAN, EVPN
- Advantageous to have an understanding of VOIP/ telephony technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and management solutions (SolarWinds, Airwave, Mist/Space, SIEM Solutions, etc
