Studio Manager - £30,000 - £35,000 (salary includes a £2,500 travel subsidy)

A wonderful opportunity for a Studio Manager to join this growing architecture practice in Liverpool street. The tight knit team are looking for a proactive, well organised team member to help them with the smooth running of their studio. This is a Monday to Friday position, 09:30am - 6:00pm with the opportunity to work remotely on Friday's

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, who can demonstrate some strong administrative/studio manager/office management experience ideally coming from the design industry. A keen eye for detail is essential, as well as being highly organised with the ability to work well in a deadline driven environment. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience in using Adobe Suite and a good working knowledge of social media platforms such as Linkedin and Instagram. This is a small, friendly practice and this role offers variety, the opportunity to make the role your own.

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, this role also works closely with other members of the management team. Responsibilities include:

Managing the day-to-day studio and home working requirements

Maintaining stock of stationery, cleaning and catering supplies, equipment for remote workers

Liaising with the landlord and dealing with all premises-related issues including access and security; as well as liaising with tenants and neighbours

Booking and managing meeting spaces

Organising refreshments for meetings as required and maintaining meeting spaces during the day

Being the first point of contact for the practice; managing the telephone system, and welcoming visitors and managing deliveries

Maintain the practice website and social media communications with assistance from Social Media Working Group

Organising internal practice meetings - project presentations and all practice updates

Ensuring the Practice Handbook is up to date and communicating studio processes to the wider team

Organising participation of practice in networking events as required

Assisting Sustainability Champions in developing and disseminating practice sustainability plans

Assisting in the review and development of practice environmental and CSR policies

Managing and maintaining ongoing ISO14001 certification with assistance from external consultant and management team

Assisting the Practice Manager with HR administration, as well as assisting with new staff inductions including new starter IT set up and allocation of IT equipment and workspace set up

Organising practice social events at the studio and the Christmas Trip and Summer Outings

Co-ordinating regular CPD programme with assistance from other team members and organising other training sessions as required

Being the main contact for the Trainee Programme, assisting with the management of the trainee

Organising fire safety and other risk assessments as required to ensure legislation compliance with assistance from external consultant

Monitoring and arranging for fire warden, first aid training as required

Managing the studio H&S - including statutory signage and fire provisions, PPE hats, and boots.

Monitoring legislation as applicable to premises and property and make recommendations

Assisting in reviewing and updating all practice policies and procedures

Supporting IT arrangements and services including practice filing systems and good practice documents

Assisting with updating and maintaining practice accreditations as required

Assisting with financial management as required - chasing up expense receipts for external book-keeper/accountant, ensure timely payment of external office suppliers
