My client, a leading PE-backed technology business, are looking to recruit a Transactional Finance Manager to join their growing team based in Runcorn.

Our client is seeking a Transactional Finance Manager to join their team in Runcorn. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the transactional functions of the finance department, ensuring all financial transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving change and automation to improve financial integrity and support the organisation's financial strategy.

What you'll do:

As a Transactional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading the transactional services team, setting clear performance expectations, fostering a collaborative work environment, and providing regular feedback. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the ledgers, ensuring all financial transactions are processed timely and accurately. Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. You will prepare and review financial reports related to transactional activities for senior management. Building strong relationships with external stakeholders such as vendors, customers, and financial institutions will be key to your success.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the transactional services team, including AP, AR, credit control, payroll
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions
  • Monitor and manage cash postings and work with treasury accountant to improve cash forecasting accuracy
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
  • Prepare and review financial reports related to transactional activities for senior management
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as vendors, customers, and financial institutions
