The Lambs Christian School Nursery is a long-standing independent nursery based in B19. The role as a successful level 2 & 3 practitioner will constitute playing a pivotal role in providing inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery and maintaining a safe, nurturing, stimulating and enjoyable environment for all children.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and delivering a range of activities that promote children's development and learning.
  • Implement and deliver the EYFS curriculum in accordance with the children's social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
  • Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Keep informative, accurate and up to date records and assessments including records of progress and any behavioural and developmental reports.
  • Report concerns about children's development or welfare to Head Teacher.
  • Engage positively with children, supporting their emotional and social development.
  • Encourage children to explore and, play and learn through age-appropriate activities.
  • Compliance to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with personal care routines including diaper changes, toilet training and feeding, ensuring children's hygiene needs are met.
  • Promote in independence in personal care where appropriate.
  • Respond to each child's need for individual care and attention and provide a high level of care and supervision that will enhance the children's general health and well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment as well as ensure toys, play equipment and play areas are cleaned and stored properly.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and carers sharing relevant information about children's progress and needs.
  • Be a team player.
  • Compliance to Lambs nursery's policies.

Staff/ Training/Meetings/ Professional Development

  • Attend all staff meeting
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to overall team effort.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Stay informed about current best practices in EYFS (Early Years Education and Care).
