Relief Chef

We are in search of a Relief Chef to provide cover in our cafeteria for a period of 7 days, from the 14th to the 23rd of October. The ideal candidate will be a trained chef with the ability to deliver a variety of dishes that go beyond standard café offerings, including hearty main meals and lighter options such as salads. This role requires a chef who can work within the established working hours of 07:30 am to 16:00 pm.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Prepare a diverse menu including chicken chasseur, burgers, salads, and other main meals.
- Ensure the kitchen is operational and ready for service.
- Serve lunch to patrons, with service concluding at around 14:30.
- Conduct clean-up post-service
- Uphold high standards of food hygiene and comply with health and safety guidelines.
- Manage inventory and kitchen supplies to ensure a smooth service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional culinary training and proven experience as a chef.
- Ability to cook a wide range of dishes that enhance the café dining experience.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
