GBR Recruitment Ltd are working exclusively in partnership with a well established & highly progressive modern day client within the FMCG manufacturing sector based between West Northamptonshire & Oxfordshire.
This key client is actively recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager (initially on a 6 months interim contract basis, may extend), responsible for heading up & successfully leading the Finance & Accounts teams to success, by actively coaching mentoring & developing the Finance / Accounts team & those outside of finance (Ops) in the art of financial control measures, LEAN / solid commercial acumen, to help drive the business forward & give it that further cutting edge.
You will be ACCA, CIMA, ACCA or AAT qualified or time served in a comparable HOF, FD, FM or Senior Finance role, experienced in overseeing / leading all the day to day activity within a busy Finance department & come from within high volume, fast paced manufacturing.
Duties:
- Effectively managing & leading the Finance / Accounts team daily with responsibility for full financial control & full financial process management.
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Management
- Stock calculations & valuations.
- Payroll & Pensions
- Producing & providing detailed MI reports for all key stakeholders
- Accurate cash flow forecasting, plus Budget & P/L forecasting
- Sales & Margins Analysis
- Ensure accurate costings / BOM's / COGs are listed on the ERP system
- Quarterly Completion of Partial exemption VAT return & VAT administration
- CAPEX / OPEX control / guidance & advice
- Authorisation of any audits including financial sales audits
- Successful implementation of Finance & Accounting systems plus all related working processes / practices.
- You will be the lead contact & key link for all things Financial business systems & Finance IT systems related.
- Producing effective & accurate operational finance KPI's reporting.
- Audit preparation & lead representative for accounting audits
- Advise & provide input to the directors in relation to the financial impact of the proposed business strategy for the current year / future years.

- Financial Risk Management
Experience:
- An ACCA / CIMA / AAT or a time served finance professional from food
- Change Management professional, with strong CI, LEAN & process implementation skills
- Head of Finance, Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar role within similar high volume, fast paced food manufacturing environments.
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, v look up etc..)
- Previous experience of managing teams to success.
- Strong with BOMs, COGS & Cost Analysis.
- Strong in using ERP systems.
- Strong communicator.
- Used to being hands on in a small team (team of 3).
