Group Finance Director / CFO

Our client is a well-respected and rapidly expanding business operating in a niche area of Automotive Manufacturing with a turnover in the region of £100m and expansion plan to exceed £150m+ within the next 3 Years with future plans for additional growth via acquisition.

As part of the company's expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of experienced, commercially focused Group Finance Director / CFO to join the executive team.

Working closely with the Founder / CEO / MD, the successful candidate will work from their offices within South Warwickshire and play a key role in the companies continued expansion and improvement leading to longer term sale with equity stake.

Whilst the Midlands will be the main location of work alongside home, some UK Travel to Operational facilities across the UK may be required.

The purpose of this position will be to work with the Board to update and improve all financial processes and drive the implementation of upgraded management information across the business.

  • Manage and develop the Finance Team of 8 staff
  • Be responsible for compliance across internal processes and external reporting
  • Support the MD / CEO and Board in developing and delivering strategic plans
  • Own the annual budgeting and reforecast process
  • Establish operational KPIs with each channel to ensure the delivery of strategic plans
  • Drive the delivery of upgraded Weekly/Monthly reporting with support from the team
  • Partner with the Operations team to ensure the delivery of inventory and margin plans
  • Monitor ROI on marketing and other spend to support additional growth driving investment

Preferred candidate profiles

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) ideally with 5+ years PQE gained within a similar Head of Finance, Finance Director or CFO Position
  • Experience ideally gained within Manufacturing, Engineering or Motor Retail Sectors
  • Demonstrable cross functional impact in a challenging environment
  • Commercially focused with a passion Business Partnering working closely with wider Teams (Manufacturing / Sales / Operations)
  • A dynamic people manager with the ability to leader and develop first class finance teams.
  • Experience of policy, system and process development and improvements

This position is being recruited on a full time, permanent basis with a basic salary of up to £130,000 coupled with excellent benefits, bonus and plan to work towards becoming the statutory Finance Director / CFO within 6-12 Months where equity stake or LTIP can be offered
