Reporting to the Head of Credit & Rates Technology, the Head of Rates Technology will manage the delivery, change, and operations of technology services and systems for the Global Rates business.

The role is a part of Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) Technology group within IB and AFCC Technology in Deutsche Bank.

Your key responsibilities

  • Primary face to Rates business stakeholders including Global Head of Rates, Regional Heads aa well as COOs and business managers
  • Shaping and delivering the technology roadmap and acting as the trusted advisor and technology focal point for the planned technology led transformation of the Rates business
  • Managing the day-to-day technology book of work for the Rates business including collaboration with other front to back teams to deliver to agreed plan
  • Manage, in collaboration with Rates business, the annual Investment Governance process to agree key deliverables and budget
  • Working in close partnership with other technology teams to maximise the shared technology product roadmap, drive synergies, simplification, and efficiencies
  • Ensuring technology roadmap compliance, audit and other Risk & Control items are addressed as part of the book of work. Leading a team of both direct and federated technology resources in London, US, Berlin, and India delivering technology to Rates

Your skills and experience

  • A strong technology background in a Front Office Technology environment
  • Experience in building front to back trading systems including Sales & Trading technology, Electronic Trading, Pricing, Risk and Post Trade technology
  • Business Advisory and influencing capabilities that support decision making in strategy and direction
  • Experience in working with or delivering systems for financial products including Bonds, Swaps and Derivatives
  • A record of building and leading high performing teams
  • Analytical, storyboarding and presentation skills - ability to develop hypothesis, question the status quo, present and influence
