Business Development Executive

Reed Business Support in Cambridge are excited to be supporting a long established and highly respected company of Chartered Accountants who are looking for someone to join them in a newly created Business Development Executive role within their small but dynamic Marketing team. Based in their Cambridge office, this role will focus on their Cambridge, Huntingdon and Bury St Edmunds sites, with travel required across all offices. This full-time position will allow for a combination of office and home-working under the firm's agile working policy.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage and deliver a structured programme of business development activity that supports in developing new business across various channels: face-to-face, telephone, mail and digital.
  • Regular liaison with the Marketing Manager to ensure BD initiatives align with the overall marketing plan, budget and brand.
  • Collaborate with third parties such as digital agencies, social media channels and creative/design agencies for smooth delivery of BD initiatives.
  • Generate ideas for BD initiatives and deliver them alongside service line heads.
  • Assist local partners with BD activities and compile data lists to support prospecting activities.
  • Schedule management and review of gains measurement methodology to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Monthly reporting on the effectiveness of deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain databases and assist with the formation of the firm's CRM system.
  • Develop a competitor monitoring programme and maximise sponsorship opportunities.
  • Support the Marketing team with event attendance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have business development/marketing experience within the service sector.
  • Digital marketing experience, including email campaigns, website maintenance and social media channels.
  • Proactive approach to developing new business relationships.
  • Capable of organising own time and working on own initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a driving licence and access to own transport for office visits.
