We are currently recruiting for a Head Of IT

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of IT to oversee the IT operations for our organisation, which includes the afore mentioned group of hotels located in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an on-site team of IT professionals as well as managing offsite level 1 support and all other vendors.

You will form part of the Senior Leadership team and will be responsible for managing all IT and computer systems. You will be responsible for the revision and implementation of all necessary IT policies and strategies.

You will be required to implement the infrastructure, and leverage the technology to enable company objectives. Additionally, oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's information and communication systems, ensuring appropriate data security to support the business strategy.

Your key duties will be as follows:

  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the business goals of the organisation.
  • Act as the internal consultant and subject matter expert on all technology matters, ensuring the organisation leverages industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor an on-site IT team, ensuring they are motivated, effective, and delivering high-quality support.
  • Hire, train, and provide professional development opportunities for IT staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and manage outsourced IT support services, ensuring SLA's are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and negotiate licensing contracts and professional service agreements.
  • Oversee the maintenance and administration of IT systems across all properties, including network infrastructure, telecommunications, business applications, and guest-facing technology.

What we'd like from you

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications in IT management or security (e.g., PMP, CISSP) and continuing education are preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (Project Management courses will be beneficial)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of a 24/7 hospitality business
  • Expert knowledge of Hospitality PMS & POS Systems
  • Previous experience implementing Cyber Essential Plus will be beneficial.
  • Minimum eight years of experience in IT operations, with at least three years of experience overseeing and leading IT teams, as well as managing projects.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, and security best practices within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is beneficial.
