Senior Restructuring & Insolvency Disputes Associate

Our client is an international law firm renowned for its dynamic and growing Commercial Dispute Resolution team. The team is committed to delivering exceptional client service and is actively seeking a Senior Associate with over 3 years PQE to join their Restructuring & Insolvency Team.

This position involves engaging with both contentious and non-contentious aspects of insolvency and restructuring law. The successful candidate will contribute to a varied practice that serves corporate entities, individuals, and insolvency practitioners. The role includes a significant amount of advisory work, where candidates will have the opportunity to develop their skills across various advisory areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality legal advice on both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, including directors, shareholders, and insolvency practitioners, to provide tailored solutions.
  • Support the growth of the team by mentoring junior lawyers and paralegals.
  • Manage a diverse caseload involving administrations, receiverships, liquidations, and personal insolvency matters.
  • Conduct complex legal research and prepare documentation for various insolvency proceedings.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and maintain excellent communication throughout the process.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring law.

  • Proven ability to manage and advise on a wide range of insolvency matters, including but not limited to:

  • Administrations (including pre-packs)

  • Receiverships

  • Members voluntary liquidations (MVLs)

  • Creditors' voluntary liquidations (CVLs)

  • Compulsory liquidations

  • Directors' duties and misfeasance actions

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver work under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • A collaborative approach, fostering teamwork and effective communication with colleagues and clients.
