Description
The successful Housing Litigation Solicitor will:
- Manage a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious housing litigation matters, including possession claims, disrepair cases, and tenancy disputes.
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in court and at tribunals.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and applications.
- Conduct negotiations and settlements on behalf of clients.
- Liaise with clients, courts, and other parties to ensure effective case management.
- Stay updated on changes in housing law and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Profile
A successful Housing Litigation Solicitor should be:
- A qualified solicitor or equivalent.
- Proven experience within housing law to be able to pick up a caseload without much supervision.
- Advocacy experience (but not essential).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong strategic thinking skills.
Job Offer
- An hourly locum rate of £40-50 per hour.
