We're seeking a Housing Litigation Solicitor with an immediate start for an ongoing locum contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lawyer to handle a range of litigated and non litigated housing matters within a wider legal team.

Description

The successful Housing Litigation Solicitor will:

  • Manage a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious housing litigation matters, including possession claims, disrepair cases, and tenancy disputes.
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in court and at tribunals.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and applications.
  • Conduct negotiations and settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and other parties to ensure effective case management.
  • Stay updated on changes in housing law and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Profile

A successful Housing Litigation Solicitor should be:

  • A qualified solicitor or equivalent.
  • Proven experience within housing law to be able to pick up a caseload without much supervision.
  • Advocacy experience (but not essential).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills.

Job Offer

  • An hourly locum rate of £40-50 per hour.
