Elevation Accountancy & Finance are working in partnership with a leading business based in Doncaster, as they look to expand their current finance function with the addition of a commercially focussed, ambitious and knowledgeable Management Accountant into their team. This role would suit an ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified Accountant OR a Newly Qualified Accountant.
We are looking for a dynamic, progressive, hands-on, confident, and capable candidate who really wants to take ownership for their role and add value to a small team environment whilst working for a large, corporate, well-established business!
Duties & Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:
- Responsible for Head office management accounts preparation, including control of central overheads, preparation of budget and forecasts
- Responsible for preparing monthly reports and holding regular meetings to provide up to date information on actual spend to assist them with management of their team
- Assist Finance Manager with month end close including preparation and checking of consolidated management accounts
- Regular finance reporting including monthly board report, land commitment creditor information and weekly sales information
- Assist with audit pack and audit queries
- Assist Finance Manager with performing checks on regions' financial reconciliations/outputs to drive consistency and accuracy in the regional outputs
- Preparation of VAT return for review by tax accountant
- Preparation of monthly finance reports
- Additional tasks and responsibilities to be covered as required by FP&A
Key Skills & Experience required:
- Relevant accounting qualification
- Working in a large corporate environment with regional/ divisional structure
- Advance Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen attention to detail/ high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team
- COINS systems experience desirable
