We have a fantastic opportunity for a
forklift / Warehouse Operative
to join a team based in LHR, to work with a specialist transport service to the airfreight industry.
We are looking for both Days and Night staff
- Days – 07:00-19:00 or 08:00-20:00
- Nights - 19:00 - 07:00 or 20:00 - 08:00
We are looking for motivated, highly organised operatives who love a challenge, with a 'can do' attitude, with the ability to take instruction as well as work on their own initiative, whilst following Health & Safety Legislation.
This is a varied role and will include, but is not limited to the following:
- Operating a Fork Lift Truck to safely unload, load and move freight.
- Checking in and booking in shipments on our in-house system
- Unloading and loading freight from company and third party vehicles (including double deck trailers)
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept in a safe, tidy manner
- Carrying out a variety of warehouse-related tasks
The right candidates must have:
- Excellent Fork Lift Truck operating skills
- Cargo Awareness (Level D certificate)
- Airfreight/logistics industry experience an advantage
- A full 5-year checkable work history
- To enjoy physical and varied work
