Deutsche Bank Group is sponsoring the establishment of a private credit investment management platform. Deutsche Bank Investment Partners (DBIP) will enable institutional investors to access Deutsche Bank origination private credit investment opportunities via an independently regulated investment manager. DBIP will benefit from strong alignment with Deutsche Bank's market-leading private credit financing business but will act solely in the interest of investors.

You will be one of three junior team members, working directly with up to four senior portfolio managers. We anticipate rapid growth and as DBIP you should desire immediate exposure to a range of complex investment opportunities worldwide.

Your key responsibilities

  • Provide transaction assessment including detailed credit analysis of private financing deals with recommendation to Investment Committee
  • Build strong relationships with financial sponsors, advisers, management teams and Deutsche Bank origination professionals to best position DBIP funds for transactions
  • Ongoing risk and performance monitoring of portfolio
  • For new transactions you review will cover the information memorandum, financial model, business plans, third party due diligence reports (financial, commercial, legal and tax structuring reports) and other bespoke diligence and building/ testing assumptions of financial models provided
  • Assisting in the transaction documentation process in conjunction with Deutsche Bank and external stakeholders to ensure that investments are completed in an efficient manner
  • Ongoing oversight of investments post completion including oversight of any investments showing signs of stress or distress

Your skills and experience

  • Strong analytical skills including working with financial models and an understanding of the fundamentals of investment appraisal, also demonstrated by completion of difficult coursework at high-caliber educational institutions
  • Relevant experience gained in private credit, leveraged finance, structured finance, mergers, and acquisitions or similar with exposure to mid-market lending and working alongside financial sponsors desirable
  • Entrepreneurial approach to enable further growth in the platform, and a willingness to embrace complexity and impose structure
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations to people at all levels within the business
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders
