Salary up to £30,000 - £35,000 (£17.25ph)

Due to rapid growth within the business an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team of one of our well-established Birmingham based clients. They are looking for an experienced Electroplater and chemical metal finisher to join their finishing team.

Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher Key Responsibilities:

  • Plating brass cabinet hardware in nickel, chrome, and copper.
  • Chemically processing to various unique finishes.
  • Conducting daily routine chemical checks and logging results.
  • Making chemical additions to our chemical finishing tanks following the daily checks and the guidance of our consultants.
  • Correctly storing chemicals in line with standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.
  • Managing and conducting routine maintenance.
  • Managing quality to ensure standards and processes are adhered to and achieved.
  • Ensuring all parts are assigned and the movements of work are correctly logged.
  • Managing general housekeeping.
  • Developing and improving processes and working procedures.

Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher Key Skills:

  • Previous experience is necessary, training will be given on our unique finishes.
  • Exceptional knowledge of chemical make-up of nickel, chrome, and copper tanks.
  • Knowledge of the safe use and storage of chemicals in a chemical finishing environment.
  • Knowledge of plating plant maintenance.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise.
  • A focus on quality and diligence.
