Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher

Salary up to £30,000 - £35,000 (£17.25ph)
Due to rapid growth within the business an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team of one of our well-established Birmingham based clients. They are looking for an experienced Electroplater and chemical metal finisher to join their finishing team.
Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher Key Responsibilities:
- Plating brass cabinet hardware in nickel, chrome, and copper.
- Chemically processing to various unique finishes.
- Conducting daily routine chemical checks and logging results.
- Making chemical additions to our chemical finishing tanks following the daily checks and the guidance of our consultants.
- Correctly storing chemicals in line with standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.
- Managing and conducting routine maintenance.
- Managing quality to ensure standards and processes are adhered to and achieved.
- Ensuring all parts are assigned and the movements of work are correctly logged.
- Managing general housekeeping.
- Developing and improving processes and working procedures.
Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher Key Skills:
- Previous experience is necessary, training will be given on our unique finishes.
- Exceptional knowledge of chemical make-up of nickel, chrome, and copper tanks.
- Knowledge of the safe use and storage of chemicals in a chemical finishing environment.
- Knowledge of plating plant maintenance.
- Enthusiastic and energetic.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise.
- A focus on quality and diligence.
