The Role

Do you have a solid background in Facilities Management or Waste Management? Are you experienced in using project management software to deliver results on time and within budget? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are the UK's leading facilities management benchmarking specialist, looking to appoint an analytical and knowledgeable Waste Management Consultant to our growing team.

You will be responsible for independently benchmarking client services through a structured review process, providing expert advice on best practice delivery of waste and recycling services. You will support projects at prestigious client sites, such as Canary Wharf, BBC, HMRC and many more, ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality service.

Your role will also involve developing our review process and identifying new commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-site visits to client sites to conduct methodical evaluations, visual observations, and stakeholder engagement in line with project requirements.
  • Writing detailed, accurate and informative reports and supporting documents / presentations / project updates, using MS Office Word / Excel / PowerPoint, a combination of these, or our bespoke reporting system.
  • Overseeing all aspects of project delivery from order acceptance to order completion by developing, scheduling, and managing detailed work plans and on-site visits via Monday.com.
  • Making sure projects deliver the expected outcomes and benefits to the client utilising industry best practice techniques and standards throughout the entire project execution.
  • Supporting the development of systems and processes that deliver consistent quality outcomes.
  • Encouraging positive interaction between all members of the project team.
  • Interpreting and analysing data to provide accurate reports and recommendations.
  • Conducting productive site visits, maintaining company values, and expected behaviours, at all times.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in a science, technical or business subject, or Similar FM or Environmental qualification.
  • Proven track record in an equivalent consultancy role or Experience in the management of FM services (as job title) across a range of sites and sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of, and experience of using tablets (iPad).
  • Waste Management experience within the NHS would be highly desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, methodology and best practices.
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving.
  • Critical-thinking and the ability to see trends and patterns.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports.
  • Ability to distil large amounts of information into understandable key points.
