Test Automation & Release Engineer

Recruitment Agency Ref: 151624 We are working with one of the UK's largest Housing Associations to recruit for three brand new Test Automation & Release Engineer roles. These roles will be responsible for writing scripts and creating automation environments for automated testing, maximising test coverage for the most critical features of the system.

Salary: £32,000 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience and location)
Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 days after three years), generous matched employer pension contribution, annual bonus programme, personal development, and much more
Duration: Permanent
Location: Remote/hybrid - offices across the country, minimum expectation to meet on-site for 2 annual team days

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating, maintaining, and supporting automated test scripts for a software engineering team
  • Developing test automation frameworks
  • Logging and tracking bugs in the system
  • Prioritising test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement them
  • Writing documentation for automated processes, including test plans, procedures, and cases
  • Managing releases across different environments

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good experience with coding in JavaScript and/or C#
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress etc.)
  • Knowledge around CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders across the business
