Lloyd Recruitment Services is pleased to be working with a Global business on the outskirts of Uckfield, in search of a forward thinking, Payroll Manager to join their friendly team.

As the Payroll Manager, you will manage payroll operations across multiple countries in Europe, including the UK, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and France.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in European payroll, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Manager:

  • Manage payroll processing for approximately 150-200 employees across multiple European countries
  • Ensure payroll is fully managed in-house for the UK and coordinate with external payroll vendors for other countries
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Maintain compliance with local payroll regulations, including tax reporting and statutory filings
  • Utilise Payfit payroll software for payroll processing and data management
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries and provide effective solutions
  • Generate payroll reports for HR and finance teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in handling payroll across multiple European countries
  • Strong understanding of regional payroll regulations
  • Proficiency in Payfit payroll software and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and external vendors
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and data management
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
