Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant (ACCA/CIMA qualified) to join our clients team for a 3-month interim assignment. This role is crucial in providing financial insights and ensuring robust financial management during a period of significant business activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, highlighting key trends and variances
  • Support the finance team with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as required

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Proven experience in a similar Management Accountant role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent proficiency in financial reporting and management accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

Desirable:

  • Experience in a similar industry or sector
  • Knowledge of SAGE 200
