We are looking for people to join our busy lettings team. You will be in a client facing role based in our Storrington Office.
This role requires a passion for property and a willingness to help whenever necessary. There will often be time pressures and a need to adapt quickly to requests.
Responsibilities to be shared within the team
- Ensure all potential tenants have been contacted, their requirements understood and qualify their affordability in order that they may find their next home
- Negotiate deals
- Provide proactive liaison with each tenancy progression and prepare the property management team for each new tenancy
- Keep up to date with local market conditions and share that knowledge with landlords and tenants when appropriate
- Spot business opportunities to help grow the portfolio, expand market share and facilitate cross selling with the sales department if appropriate
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and other agents in the area
- Effectively and efficiently use Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- Learn and apply bespoke software packages including the accounts side of each tenancy
- Comply with ARLA Propertymark code of practice, Property Ombudsmen as well as keeping up to date with all new letting and estate agency legislation
- Ensure rents are collected and paid to landlords
