About the role...

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our hard-working, highly successful team in Swindon road.

You will be a strong leader with a hands-on approach and passion for high service standards to ensure Ubico's day-to-day service provisions, including waste and recycling services.

As the Operations Manager, you will manage and motivate a team that includes drivers and crews, observing all health & safety and HR employment policies and procedures.
This is a dynamic and fast paced role and you will have the confidence to handle any challenge that comes your way to maintain operational delivery. You will need to be decisive, a team player, be able to manage competing priorities and balance this by reflecting on and implementing key changes to ensure continuous improvement.

You will have excellent management and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a large, diverse team to deliver operational services and to meet targets, all in line with the Ubico values.

You will need...

  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Management (Road Haulage).
  • Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) Level 4 - Managing Transfer Operations.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certificate or recognised equivalent or prepared to work towards.
  • Experience of managing a team.
