Are you an experienced Electro Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our client, a leading Engineering company based in Sudbury, is seeking a talented individual like you to join their team. With a focus on designing and detailing safety equipment tooling, this role offers a chance to showcase your skills and make a significant impact.

Hours: 8am till 5pm

Salary: £45,000

As an Electro Mechanical Design Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Service technicians to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Working closely with other designers, engineers, quality, and production engineers to ensure successful and profitable production.
  • Utilising reverse engineering techniques to gather design data for existing tooling.
  • Producing detailed drawing sets in accordance with commercial, aerospace, and military standards.
  • Controlling and distributing design schemes, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation in alignment with Quality procedures.
  • Planning, organising, and effectively managing workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and traceable technical files for each project.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically Solidworks.
  • Strong computer literacy, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Formal engineering background with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Successful completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship and/or a college ONC/HNC/HND/university qualification.
