With a solid infrastructure and ability to take on more business, plus long-serving dedicated staff, we are looking for a Sales and Marketing Director to enjoy the rewards of leading the showroom sales team, devising and implementing new marketing techniques and breaking into new markets.

ROLE
In this prestigious Sales and Marketing Director role, you will be working closely with the leadership team in Birmingham to optimise current sales and marketing efforts and grow the business. With a large number of products and good historical data, there are plenty of opportunities for fast growth.
Marketing: Creative responsibility for the marketing proposition, delivering all marketing activities across the marketing mix, working with in-house and outsourced teams.
Strategy and implementation of growth marketing
Responsibility for ecommerce / social media / showroom marketing including new product launches, promotions and events.
Sales: Managing the sales team, you will lead by example and create a high performing team, driving additional customers and improving sales conversion rates:
B2C - Selling to members of the public over the phone and face to face in the showroom
B2B trade – contractors, architects, specifiers, house builders, hotel fitters etc.
PERSON
Must have:
- Experience at a UK retailer in a senior, sales and marketing role
- Proven ability to uplift profitability through sales and marketing
- Related industry experience - Retail, with ecommerce and showroom sales to the public and trade e.g bathrooms, kitchens / sofas / plumbing / electrical / furnishings / carpets / tiles / etc.
- First-line sales management – leading successful teams, setting targets/KPIs, upskilling, recruitment
- Deep understanding of traditional marketing mix as well as digital marketing
- Willingness to commute to Birmingham, West Midlands 5 days per week, with shift pattern to cover weekends.
Desirable:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, related subject OR professional qualifications such as CIM
