We are currently searching for a Principal Systems Engineer, to join an expanding Electrical and Electronic department with an OEM based in an outstanding new facility in the Warwick area.
You'll be involved in a range of new vehicle development programmes for passenger EV's for the European market.
This wide role involves working with different teams and projects and hence provides a unique opportunity to keep developing skills.
You will have an excellent understanding of systems engineering, processes and methods, practical experience of electrical & electronic systems and a working knowledge of MBSE tools.
As Principal Systems Engineer - you will be required to;
- Primarily but not restricted to the integration, development and testing of Electrical and Electronic systems in the domains of ADAS/AD, HVAC and Body systems amongst others
- Conceptualisation, design, and proof of concept of new systems and features
- Support the delivery of System Engineering artifacts through the complete V-cycle. Model based design and model-based systems engineering
- Support the analysis and benchmarking of features available in the market
- Develop and test hardware and software solutions on bench (e.g MIL/SIL/HIL) and vehicle using commercial solutions such as simulation and validation tools (e.g. Simulink/IPG/dSPACE/NI) for a wide range of Electrical and Electronic systems
- Support the delivery of Engineering sign off through DVP and report DV progress from conception to test execution
- Support SW development and testing using at least one of C/C++/ Python/Matlab/Simulink
**As Principal Systems Engineer - you will have;**A degree or similar qualification with depth of knowledge in a relevant technical speciality
- Proven experience with Systems Engineering processes and methods, development, prototyping and testing of control strategies.
- Experience with MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architect, DOORS etc
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis of large volumes of data
- Practical experience of automotive electrical and electronic systems
- Working knowledge and experience using at least one of: C, C++ /Python/Matlab/Simulink
