A new exciting permanent Front-End Web Developer position has become available to join a dynamic and seasoned in-house development team with a leading client of mine. This role is a fantastic opportunity to steer the creation of dynamic user experiences for a wide array of internal and external systems at one of the UK's top recruitment agencies.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of developers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
  • Emphasise mobile-first responsive design, adhere to W3C standards, and ensure accessibility across different platforms.
  • Engage in continuous dialogue with business owners and development teams to align user goals with interfaces that satisfy both business and technical demands.
  • Design and develop sophisticated web application user interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
  • Transition and enhance existing front-end frameworks to align with modern standards.
  • Implement client-side features to augment system interactivity.
  • Perform user analysis, testing, wireframing, prototyping, and storyboarding within an agile development framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing excellent design skills and a dedication to crafting stunning user interfaces.
  • A quick learner with robust quantitative, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in documentation.
  • Expertise in responsive mobile-first development, user analysis, wireframing, prototyping, and storyboarding.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS, SASS, Groovy Server Pages, AngularJS, Angular 16+, Node 16, Gulp, Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development using Jasmine/Karma.
  • Understanding of web application security and integration with back-end REST APIs.
  • Experience with Figma and performance optimisation.
  • Experience collaborating with Java Development teams and technologies like OAuth, JSON, REST, Spring.
