My client are seeking a Service Coordinator to join their Service Department at an established Commercial Building Maintenance company. This role is integral to operations, requiring a well-organised individual with a strong background in service coordination, preferably within the building service/maintenance sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as the first point of contact in the office, managing incoming calls from engineers and clients, and directing them as necessary.
- Manage the door entry system, receive deliveries and handle booking in.
- Raise reactive breakdown jobs on our system, collate relevant information and maintain job files.
- Keep clients informed through verbal updates, emails, or by updating their Facilities Management Systems.
- Dispatch engineers to reactive jobs and schedule routine service visits with clients.
- Assist in preparing service report sheets for engineers, sending reports to clients and filing documents appropriately.
- Type up quotations and reports as prepared by engineers or the Service Manager.
- Provide support during staff meetings and contribute to the smooth running of the service department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a building service/maintenance department is ideal, but candidates from other service roles will be considered.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise urgent work effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with fast and accurate typing skills, and a good command of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- A meticulous and conscientious approach to work.
- A driving license is preferable but not essential.
