Assistant Property Manager

Overview: We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as an Assistant Block Manager. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective management and maintenance of high-end residential properties within our portfolio. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in property management while contributing to the smooth operation of our managed properties.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support: Assist the Property Manager with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, responding to emails and inquiries.
  2. Tenant Relations: Serve as a point of contact for tenants regarding inquiries, complaints and maintenance requests. Ensure timely and professional communication with tenants to address their needs and concerns.
  3. Property Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards and cleanliness of communal areas. Coordinate with maintenance staff or contractors to address any issues promptly.
  4. Lease Administration: Prepare and issue new leases.
  5. Financial Management: Assist with financial tasks such as processing invoices and collecting service charge. Keep accurate records of financial transactions and prepare financial reports as needed.
  6. Compliance and Regulations: Stay informed about relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards pertaining to property management. Ensure that properties comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  7. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs and maintenance. Obtain competitive quotes and oversee the quality of work performed by vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in property management, real estate, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Knowledge of property management principles, regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
