Finance /Payroll Manager

Well respected company based in Redruth, Cornwall are looking to recruit a permanent Finance /Payroll Manager

Role purpose:

Your role as Finance Manager is to support the Directors of the company by leading the operational day to day elements involved with running an effective finance team. This will involve leading and developing a team whilst maintaining high standards of support to the wider company.

Duties

Responsible for maintenance of accurate and timely accounting records sufficient to comply with internal and external reporting purposes.

Ensure sales invoices are raised correctly, applying CIS rules when required. Checking Access Maintain for larger client billing requirements.

Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities including payroll in SAGE.

Oversee and check all accounting records are processed within the month-end timetable software and Xero accounting. Responsible for all system updates and maintenance.

Responsibility for monthly reconciliation of key control accounts including all bank reconciliations, PAYE, Pension and CIS.

Responsible for monthly review of Aged Debtors and Creditors and follow up outstanding balances when required.

To have ownership of Financial Procedures ensuring they provide appropriate levels of financial control. Develop as necessary.

To implement HR appraisal process and review meetings. Manage Sage HR documentation.

To submit CIS returns in a timely manner.

Responsible for site CCTV.

Oversea Vehicle management requirements, MOTs & Tax and Clean Air Zone accounts Inc TFL.

Payroll & Pensions:

Overseeing the timely and accurate completion of the staff weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll in both companies. Checking timesheets with departmental managers.

Managing Clockrite time recording system.

Liaise with Inland Revenue and Pension scheme providers, ensuring all payments are made on time.

Overseeing the financial administration of new starters , leavers along with all payroll contract changes.

Checking of maternity & paternity requests and schedule information.

Oversight and maintenance of accurate monthly staffing records.
