Insurance Manager

Hay is currently recruiting an Interim Insurance Manager for a local council in the Midlands. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the council's insurance functions. The successful candidate will manage a team of three and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders within the organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Qualification in Chartered Insurance: A recognised qualification in chartered insurance is essential.
  • Insurance Claims Experience: Proven experience in handling insurance claims, with a particular emphasis on highway claims being advantageous.
  • Risk Register Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain a comprehensive risk register.
  • Collaboration with Legal & Procurement: Experience working with legal and procurement teams to source third-party suppliers for the council.
  • Liability Insurance: In-depth knowledge and experience of managing liability insurance.
  • Insurance Portfolio Oversight: Proven track record of overseeing a large and diverse insurance portfolio.
