QA Coordinator

We are recruting for the QA Co-ordinator to ensure that practices in the factory conform to current procedures, HACCP, legal, food safety and customer requirements. Developing, maintaining and reviewing quality systems, driving continuous improvement in quality standards through problem solving, and training all operational staff in QA procedures

Shifts :

6 am to 6 pm

2/3 DAYS ON - REST 2/3 DAYS ON - REST

Responsabilities:

Ensuring that customer quality expectations are met through internal teamwork.

To drive quality improvements through the scheduled Quality Reviews

  • To complete gap analysis and participate in quality audits (internal and external) and driving improvement against a base line of customer, legal, food safety and BRC requirements.

To ensure that prior to customer visits or audits that any previous factory issues have been resolved and closed out.

To ensure all calibration and HACCP verification activities are up to date against the schedule and results are in line with critical limits set.

To ensure that there is a robust system in place to maintain traceability, forward and backwards, of all finished product, raw materials and primary packaging and that all associated documentation is accurate and complete.

To complete challenge tests to schedule.

To ensure that all legal and production documentation and records is accurate and complete and that all staff are trained to understand the quality expectations at each stage in the production process.

To work within the operations team to reduce customer complaints, incidents of non- conformance and potential risks to product safety and quality.

Complaints - assist in investigation of root causes, co-ordinating the implementation of effective preventative measures, and providing prompt responses.

Non-conformances -investigation of root causes, and co-ordinating the implementation of effective preventative measures through teamwork.

Co-ordination of micro sampling activities and lab submissions and follow-up of results. Charting, trending and reporting of all quality related activities.

Raising appropriate purchase orders strictly within budgetary constraints.

Promoting shared learning for the evolution of documented quality system, updating QS documents and maintaining the document control system.

Contribute as a team member to strategic initiatives for the quality team and for overall business performance.

Undertake all departmental project (eg sampling, product assessments, freezer trials and other work) as part continuous improvement programme

Preferable attributes:

Food Science / Technology qualification or relevant experience

Food hygiene qualification (intermediate or advanced)

HACCP qualification (intermediate or advanced)

Auditing qualification (internal / second party / third party)

Training qualification / experience

Supervisory / management experience
