Helpdesk Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced IT Helpdesk Engineer to provide technical support and expertise to our organization's IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving complex IT issues and supporting the end-users with technical queries. The role will involve working closely with other IT team members to ensure the smooth running of the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support and advice to end-users via phone, email or in person
  • Responding to technical issues either by phone or via a ticketing system
  • Investigating, diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues and requests
  • Installing and configuring software, hardware, and network devices
  • Maintaining and monitoring IT systems and applications to ensure their optimal performance
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as system manuals and user guides
  • Collaborating with other IT team members to identify and implement solutions to improve the IT environment
  • Participating in IT projects as required
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the IT industry

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as an IT Helpdesk Engineer or similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, network protocols, and hardware components
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, and SharePoint
  • Experience supporting VoIP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
