£50,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Holidays:

24 days annual leave (pro-rata)

About Us:

Our Client is a well-established UK manufacturer who is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to join our team.

The Role:

An experienced Financial Controller to manage our financial operations. This role offers a chance to shape our internal financial systems while collaborating closely with the senior management team to align financial objectives with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor financial forecasts and budgets in line with company objectives.
  • Management of Accounts: Oversee daily financial operations, including cash flow management, payroll, and invoicing.
  • SAP Expertise: Utilise SAP for financial reporting and operational management; prior experience with SAP is essential.
  • Cost Control and Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax requirements.
  • Handover Collaboration: Work with current external freelancers during a 4-week transition period to bring financial responsibilities in-house.
  • Support Growth Initiatives: Provide financial insights to aid in our ongoing diversification and growth strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or service-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles and UK accounting standards.
  • Must have experience with SAP financial systems and reporting.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a history of managing finances in a similar-sized company.
  • Ability to work independently on a part-time basis (3 days per week) while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance.
